Lehmann & Voss Updated

Later this week fresh data from Lehmann & Voss & Co. will be available on Prospector. This update contains data submitted by Lehmann & Voss and will increase their materials count from 708 to 866.

Updates to Rhodia/Solvay Engineering Plastics

I just finished updates to Rhodia Engineering Plastics, which will be available in Prospector next week under the manufacturer name of Solvay Engineering Plastics (Rhodia is part of the Solvay group and the name change is according to their instructions). This was an extensive update to nearly 200 materials including regional availability data provided by the manufacturer.

New data from Ticona, AKRO and Ravago Group

I've been busy for the past couple of weeks. I completely overhauled the data for Ticona. This was quite an undertaking that raised several technical challenges along the way. With Ticona wrapped up, I was able to import a complete data set submitted by AKRO-PLASTIC GmbH. This was a rather easy import (which was a nice change)

February is proving to be the month of imports, as Ravago Group also submitted a data file for their Scolefin line of Polypropylene. (Next week: DuPont!)

As always, I continue to keep the UL Yellow Card data up to date with weekly imports from UL.

Styrolution data updated

I just finished updating the data for Styrolution, which will hit Prospector next week. Styrolution recently updated their web site and did a complete revision of their technical data. The data sheets look good, although they probably should have gone through another cycle of revisions, because the data was a little rough around the edges.

An important note about this update; previously, Styrolution was divided into three suppliers within Prospector (Styrolution, Styrolution Group GmbH, and Styrolution Korea Ltd.). This update merges all of Styrolution together. Regional availability of all materials in the update was updated to reflect that of the product offerings on Styrolution's web site.

Chi Mei Corporation Updated

I started off the new year with a update for Chi Mei Corporation. This update will be available in Prospector this week.

At the end of December I was right in the middle of updating some RoHS documentation for Chi Mei when they entirely redesigned their web site, rendering much of the work I had done obsolete. Some would call it frustrating, I call it job security!
