DuPont Performance Polymers Updated

Data for DuPont Performance Polymers has been updated. Periodically DuPont sends me a data file, and I get it into Prospector.

Not only does Prospector get updated, but so does DuPont's site and all of the distributors whose sites are supported by IDES!

60+ LG Chem Lupoy PC Data Sheets Added

I just put the finishing touches on 61 new Lupoy® polycarbonate data sheets for LG Chem Ltd.

The new data sheets will hit Prospector on Thursday!

Eastman Chemical Company Data Updated

Some minor changes were made to several Eastman Chemical Company materials. A number of these changes were that several materials are tagged with "Cradle to Cradle Certified^CM Silver".

This is an eco-friendliness certification related to a material's safety with regard to humans and the environment. Head on over to MBDC's website for an overview of the certification.

Samsung Data Updated

I updated a bunch of datasheets for Samsung, a division of Cheil Industries. The update included a lot of new processing information and several new grades.

SABIC drops PET, PVC, and PS Product Lines

After reviewing the website for Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), it appears that they have dropped their PET, PVC, and PS product lines.

Vinnolit GmbH & Co. KG Data Added to Prospector

Data for Vinnolit GmbH & Co. KG has been added to Prospector. The Vinnolit® line of materials were added at the request of a client to further expand our coverage of PVC materials. Without input from our clients expanding our database of over 84,000 materials from more than 850 suppliers in Prospector would be a far more daunting task. Thanks PVC client guy!

Improved PVC Data Representation

A few months ago a client called in and was having difficulty finding some PVC materials in Prospector. Any time someone is having a hard time finding something means I have some work to do.
The result of the discussion with this client has been the creation of two new data fields: K-value and Viscosity Number (also known as Reduced Viscosity). Both of these properties are from the ISO 1628 test standard.

Prospector is updated every Thursday, so you'll have to wait until then to see any changes.
